Niluccio on noise: streaming all the way from Hackney Road
It will surprise no-one - least of all you, dear reader - to learn that the Niluccio Mixcloud channel has a grand total of zero followers. Yes, zero. But does that matter? No! It's quality not er, quantity. Anyway, nearly three years after I first started chucking my monthly podcasts on Mixcloud it now dawns on me that instead of linking in my blog posts to various shortlived Podomatic downloads, I should - ffs! - be linking to something that's going to hang around for a while. Oh dear - just call me the master of self-publicity and all-round social media king. Anyway, I've now gone back to put Mixcloud links into a back-catalogue of 34 monthly Niluccio on noise podcasts. Exciting, no? Yep, they're free to listen to, free to share, free to click away from the moment you find some segment too nauseating to listen to for even a second longer. I must admit I'm a bit of a late adopter of Mixcloud, but now I've bedded in a little I think it's good. (Yeah, fuck you Podomatic). And not only that, it's apparently housed in a pleasingly scruffy building in Hackney Road in east London which I pass every day on my way to work (or used to, back in my pre-Covid going-to-work-at-the-office-every-day days). Yes, keep it local I say! Stream your music from Hackney's very own Mixcloud. Local and global. So now I've rectified matters, it just remains for me to attract some followers to my wonderful Mixcloud channel. Anyone? You sir? You madam? No? Are you sure? Not a chance? No? Er, OK then ...
