FAC 000000.0 - the price of a cedilla
If you too get a little (ahem) hac'd off by the constant milking of the Haçienda legacy, then I guess this dog-eared poster (on the outside of the Leadmill in Sheffield as of last Saturday) will dismay you as much as it did me.
Once more unto The Beach
Bloody hell. When will they let it go? Are we going to carry on seeing the Ben Kelly hazard stripes promoting some ever-more-desperate years-later tie-in for the rest of godforsaken lives? Yes, I think we are. It's probably too lucrative to resist and the iconography is an instant sales pitch. Twenty-one years since the last punter passed through its doors and at least 25 years since the place really mattered, we're stuck in this annoying time warp. If you ask me, you can add as many cedillas to cash-in events as you like, but it's still taçky, taçky, taçky. Anyway, time for me to get in on the act. I hereby assign this Niluccio on noise blog post its own catalogue number. It's FAC 000000.0. Otherwise known as FAC'd off by the Factory Records nostalgia factory ...
