Weren't you supposed to be modernising it, is what my podcast listeners say to me from time to time. Wasn't I supposed to be updating my monthly Niluccio on noise compilations, with their tiresomely obscure offerings, 75 minutes of bored-to-the-bone tedium? Wasn't I supposed to be listening to some properly interesting stuff? Getting into grime or trap? Specialising? Or just ... er, doing something new? And what do I say in reply? How do I counter these petty objections? I turn away, affect a confused air, and say quietly, "Supposed to be modernising it ...?"
