My drive is not dead

Having become hopelessly confused about which of my detatchable drives can do rips but not burns and which can do burns but not rips, I finally had the genius idea of er, putting a post-it note on each of them. My partner (whose interest in my music stuff is, shall we say, limited) asked, "Are getting rid of that drive? Is it broken?" No, but when its time comes I hope it will indeed rest in peace and will go up to heaven with all the other virtuous items of electronic hardware. It has played its part in the low-tech production of my insufferable monthly podcasts down here on earth, and it will deserve to be rewarded with life in everlasting in gadget heaven ...
